    Matthew Wergin has a career spans international business development, engineering-driven project leadership, and private acquisitions across multiple sectors.

    Matthew’s early career included analytical work at a venture incubator in Montana, followed by supporting U.S. federal economic policy research for the Senate Finance Committee. He then spent 15 years in Austria, where he helped launch a large-scale business language training firm and served as an adjunct professor at the University of Applied Sciences, teaching business communication and presentation skills while completing his engineering degree.

    After managing complex technical projects in the corporate technology sector, Matthew returned to entrepreneurship. He built and now operates two profitable businesses in Central America, along with hospitality-focused real estate holdings, while sourcing and underwriting small-to-middle-market acquisitions for private sponsors in his role as Head of Business Acquisitions at the Equity Carry Group.

    Today, Matthew serves as principal sponsor for Felicitatem Ventures’, drawing on a systems-thinking approach that integrates operations, finance, and international business ownership.

    He is also the author of The Illusion of Money, published under the name Matthew Scott.
